In this edition, we’re sharing upcoming training opportunities and looking back at:
✨ Our attendance at the ACH Conference

✨ Our December free Lunch & Learn session, where we’ll be sharing a demo of our new product, the Academy
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Every conversation, every question, every moment of collaboration helps us continue making a real difference in the sector.

22nd January 2026 – Customer Service Making A Difference
Customers’ expectations are rising. Providing excellent customer service is vital to the reputation and overall success of every organisation and the people that work there.
Customer Service – Making a difference isn’t just a workshop. It’s a CPD accredited suite of tools, recognised by the Chartered Institute of Housing as meeting their professional standards. It’s designed to embed learning and equip delegates with the skills and understanding to improve the customers’ experience of the service your provide.

28th January 2026 – Having Difficult Conversations
Most of us dread those difficult conversations with tenants, colleagues and family members, where the stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run deep. Those crucial conversations where we must deliver unpleasant news, discuss a delicate subject, or talk about something that needs to change.
Just thinking about having these conversations can fill you with anxiety and trepidation, taking up space in your mind and distracting you from other important considerations that require your attention.
This workshop is designed for anyone who needs to have difficult or crucial conversations – in the workplace, and beyond.

29th January 2026 – Preventing Debt and Recovering Arrears
As a front facing member of staff attempting to collect rent and recover rent arrears or a manager working on new strategies for arrears recovery, this practical workshop will give you the tools to manage your rent accounts effectively and consider ways in which you can encourage your tenants to pay their rent.
Delegates will consider new and innovative ways of preventing rent debt and recovering arrears, alongside best practice from both within and outside the sector to avoid tenants from stepping on the downward escalator towards homelessness.

We attended the ACH Conference in Canberra and Ellie smashed it!
At the end of November, we were honoured to attend the ACH Conference in Canberra and share this experience with people who care deeply about improving lives, strengthening communities, and empowering teams across the social housing sector.
Ellie had the fantastic opportunity to represent Big Picture Training at the People, Culture and Workforce Community of Practice, offering an insightful overview of the year we’ve had, our progress, new developments, and the increasing reach of our work. She also gave attendees an exciting first look at the upcoming Big Picture Training Academy, which will open new pathways for learning and development across the sector.
Ellie delivered it all with her best “totally-not-nervous” face, leaving us incredibly proud to have her speaking on behalf of the Big Picture team and the values that drive us.

The Bigger Picture – November Highlights
