🏡 Tenancy Management in Specialist Disability Accommodation Training Program
- We successfully completed the roll-out of the Tenancy Management in SDA Training Program for Liverty, empowering teams to better support their communities.
🧩 Anti-Social Behaviour Training Program
- We recently delivered the Anti-Social Behaviour Training Program to staff at Beyond Housing, helping build practical skills to manage challenging situations with confidence and care.

Partnering with Mission Australia Housing
We’re excited to be working with Mission Australia Housing on a suite of practical leadership tools to support their teams. These include:
- An interactive Manager Toolkit for everyday people management.
- A tailored Role Guide that brings key leadership roles to life; and
- A step-by-step Onboarding Guide to help leaders set their new starters up for success. Each resource is designed to build confidence, clarity, and consistency across their leadership and onboarding practices.
Steering the Ship Toward Australia
We shared some challenging but necessary news this month. Big Picture have decided that as of end-August 2025, we will no longer accept new orders in the UK ☹️.
Why? Because our energy and that of our most passionate audiences, is now focused squarely on Australasia. We’re committed to delivering even deeper, more impactful work here and couldn’t be more excited!
Gratitude to our UK family runs deep. This isn’t so long, it’s see you around. We will remain connected to the sector in the UK and continue to share best practice through our training and consultancy in Australia.
National Skills Week: Time to Show Off What We Do Best
From 25–31 August, we joined Australia-wide celebrations for National Skills Week, under the theme “Explore ALL the options”. Learning and the world of vocational education and training (VET), deserve high-fives and hashtags.
We believe skill-building strengthens careers, teams, services, and communities in social housing. Whether you’re starting your journey, stepping up, or leading others, we agree with the Aussie vibe: knowledge pays dividends.

Honouring Tomorrow’s Changemakers
On 12 August, we celebrated International Youth Day, spotlighting those young professionals in social housing who are shaking things up, reimagining tenant engagement policy, breathing fresh energy into service delivery, and daring to do things differently. Their creativity, courage, and drive are exactly what our sector thirsts for.
We’re so inspired that we’re sponsoring the Inspirational Team Member category at the AHI Brighter Future Awards. We’re not just cheering from the sidelines, we’re rooting for the next generation of heroes.
We look forward to celebrating with colleagues again at the national awards in Perth later this year.

This August, we also raised not one but two toasts…
🥂 First, to our practically perfect CEO, Jo Leckie, whose birthday we joyfully celebrated. Jo isn’t just the captain of the ship, she’s the kind of leader who mixes brilliance with warmth, always keeping one eye on extraordinary results and the other on her team’s laughter. Her passion for customer experience lights up the room, and her pedigree of awards and qualifications could wallpaper a cottage! Jo leads Big Picture Training not just with expertise, but with heart. Work is way more fun when your leader brings that kind of sparkle. ✨
💛 And then, to the fabulous Sheryl, a colleague whose energy, passion, and expertise shine through everything she does. With over 20 years’ experience across the Community Housing, Real Estate, and Disability Housing sectors, Sheryl has dedicated herself to sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for others. From designing training programs that empower young people entering the Private Rental Market, to mentoring colleagues and inspiring peers, Sheryl shows every day that learning and collaboration are the keys to a successful career in housing.
